2018-19 Dynamix Coaches

Taylor Armstrong


Taylor was born and raised in Woodland, CA.  She has been playing volleyball since 2007 for Douglass Middle School, Dynamix Volleyball Club and Pioneer High School.  Her position throughout the years of playing was middle hitter, where she received All-League her junior and senior year.  She was also awarded Most Valuable Player and Best Offensive during her time at Pioneer.  She still currently plays for fun at the community center with a few other Dynamix coaches.  Taylor graduated from Carrington College and is now a registered dental assistant in Davis.  This will be her first year coaching but she could not be more excited.

Dominique Beauchamp


Dominique is from Esparto, CA, where she played volleyball, basketball, softball and lettered in all three sports. Throughout high school she played as an outside hitter and occasional libero. She was captain her sophomore and senior year of high school volleyball. Immediately after high school she began her volleyball coaching career.  

Dominique is currently coaching both Esparto middle school volleyball teams and has been coaching at the middle school level for three years now. She also coaches 6th and 7th grade basketball for Esparto. This will be her second year coaching Dynamix and she is very excited for the season to start! 

Josie Casillas


Josie was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma and then raised in Woodland, CA.  She attended Woodland High School where she excelled in volleyball for four years.  She received MVP honors and was also selected to the All-League team.  She continued her playing career at American River College where she played outside hitter.  Josie was selected to the All-Conference second team and also received MVP honors in defense and offense.

Josie coached the Woodland High School freshmen team and assisted the varsity team in 2014-15.  She has been coaching with Dynamix Volleyball Club for- 7 years.  Josie has her CIF coaching certification, she is IMPACT certified along with First Aid and CPR certified.

Karly Castillo


 Karly grew up in Yolo, CA and attend Woodland High School. She played 4 year’s of volleyball and graduated in 2012. After she graduated she went to American River College for 2 years then transferred to California State University of Sacramento earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications.  

Karly has played 6 years of Club Volleyball. She has and is currently coaching 6 years of JV Girls and 2 years of Boys Varsity Volleyball at Woodland High School. She is CIF certafied with First Aid and CPR training. She is so excited to coach her second year of club with Dynamix. 

Marnie Christison


  Marnie grew up in Woodland, CA where she attended Pioneer High School and

played volleyball all four years. She started out playing Middle Hitter but eventually

fell in love with playing Opposite later on in her athletic career. Marnie went on to

attend school at UC Santa Barbara where she majored in Sociology with a minor in

Women, Culture, & Development and is now currently pursuing her Masters of

Education in Applied Behavior Analysis through Arizona State University’s online


Marnie’s volleyball experience spans a total of seven years, starting at the Woodland

YMCA and eventually going on to play for Club Woodland, Spikers, and Dynamix

Volleyball Club. While she did not play competitively during her time in college,

Marnie did enjoy representing her sorority in Greek Life volleyball tournaments and

playing recreationally through the Woodland Community Center. Although this is

Marnie’s first year coaching for Dynamix, she is incredibly excited to return to the

organization that gave her some of her fondest memories of being an athlete!

Alison Crandall


  Alison grew up in Arbuckle CA, where she played volleyball, basketball, and softball at the high school level all four years. She then went on to further her volleyball career at Southwestern College in Kansas. She was the team's setter for four years then graduated in May 2016 with Bachelor of Science in Biology.  

Ali is currently a licenced Pest Control Advisers. She currently the Frosh/Soph coach for the  Pierce Bears volleyball program. This is her third year coaching, and is extremely excited to help her favorite program grow! 

Gema Diaz


Gema was born in Chico, CA but was raised here in Woodland. She attended Pioneer High School where she played volleyball for four years and earned awards for Best Defensive Player and MVP. She has assisted at Dynamix clinics and spent the last two years coaching at Chico Area Recreation & Park District.  

Gema recently graduated from Chico State with a degree in Public Relations and currently works at Woodland Community College in Outreach & Engagement. She is eager  to start her second year with Dynamix and looking forward to a great season.  

Marisa Diaz-Jimenez


 Marisa grew up in Woodland, CA and attended Woodland High School where she played four years of volleyball. After graduating high school she went to Woodland Community College for two years, receiving her AA and then transferred to California State University, Sacramento. She graduated from CSUS with a Bachelors in Child Development and Minor in Counseling.

Marisa is currently the freshman volleyball coach at Pioneer.  This will be her fifth year coaching with Dynamix and is excited for another season of coaching. She has her CIF coaching certification, is IMPACT certified as well as First Aid and CPR certified. 

Angela Fuentes


 Angela was born and raised in Woodland, CA. She attended Pioneer High School, where she played volleyball for all four years. Angela recently graduated from University of California, Santa Barbara with a degree is Sociology. 

Angela played as an outside hitter with Dynamix and at Pioneer she earned MVP and Coaches Awards. Throughout high school, she volunteered coaching at PHS volleyball camps for three summers. She is excited to return home and is looking forward to coaching again. 

Shelby Garcia


Shelby was born and raised in Elk Grove, CA. She attended Franklin High School where she played all 4 years of volleyball.  She was captain and received first team all league honors her senior year.  She continued playing volleyball after high school at American River College where she played outside hitter and opposite. 

She started her coaching career with Force Performance Volleyball Club in Elk Grove and coached there for 2 years. After club season she coached at Sheldon High school as the Head JV coach for 2 years.  After her last season at Sheldon she moved clubs to coach at CRV for two years during this time she also got the Head Varsity Coach position at Monterey Trail high school in elk grove where she kept the position for 3 years. She is very excited to be joining the coaching staff at Dynamix and coaching with one of her best friend of 10 years Josie Casillas!

Michelle Higuera


Michelle grew up in Davis, CA and attended Davis Senior High School. After graduating high school she went to Sacramento City College where she played volleyball for two years. Michelle then transferred to Humboldt State University where she graduated with honors,  majored in mathematics, and minored in business. She was an assistant coach for the Humboldt State volleyball team for two years.

Michelle is currently completing her teaching credential from Humboldt State University. This will be Michelle’s third year coaching for Dynamix and is excited for the season to come. She is CPR/AED certified.

Allison Jones


Allison was born and raised in Dixon, CA where she played volleyball and basketball her high school career. She was a middle blocker and received awards her junior and senior year. Also she played club volleyball for two years. Then after high school she began coaching the 8th grade girls volleyball team for the junior high in Dixon. 

Allison is currently taking classes at Sacramento City Community College, where she hopes to become a Registered Nurse. This is her second year coaching and she is very excited for the season! 

Nikki Lovato


Nikki was born and raised in Woodland, CA.  She attended Pioneer High School, where she played Volleyball and Soccer all four years of high school.  After graduating high school, Nikki attended Chico State for two years and then transfered to Sacramento State and graduated with a degree in Child Development and Psychology.  She has recently completed her teaching credential and masters.

Nikki's playing experience has been with Dynamix Volleyball Club, Pioneer High School, as well as with the Chico State Club Volleyball team during her freshmen year.  Her main positions through out her playing experience were libero and defensive specialist.  In High School, she received awards for defensive MVP as well as TCC All League Player.  Nikki's coaching experience began at the YMCA in Woodland where she coached girls, ages 8-10, for three years.  While attending Chico State, Nikki worked for Chico Area Recreation and Park District for two years, where she coached 5th and 6th graders and worked at weekend clinics.  

​This will be Nikki's fifth year coaching with Dynamix.  She is also IMPACT certified.

Lauren Mahoney


Lauren was born and raised in Vacaville, Ca and attended Vacaville High School.  After high school she graduated and got her Bachelors of Science degree from Sonoma State University with her concentration being Exercise Science.  She hopes to become a PT or PTA in the years to come.

Her playing career started when she was in 5th grade, and played throughout high school and club.  She has played for Vacaville Extreme our of Vacaville, Ca and Club Solano out of Cordelia, Ca.  Following her playing career she coached for Club Solano for 4 years and Bulldog Volleyball Club for 1 year.  

This will be Lauren's third year coaching for Dynamix, and is really excited for the season ahead.  Lauren is First Aid, CPR and Impact certified.

Dori Miller


Dori was born and raised in Woodland, CA.  She attended Pioneer High School where she played Volleyball.  

Dori's club playing experience was with Dynamix Volleyball Club, where she played in all front row positions.  At Pioneer she earned awards in best offensive and most improved.  She also volunteered for three years coaching at the PHS Volleyball Camps.  Dori will be entering her 6th year coaching with Dynamix.

Callie Muniz


Callie is from Arbuckle, Ca. She loves basketball but her passion is Volleyball. She has been playing volleyball since 2012 for Johnson Jr High, Dynamix Volleyball Club and Pierce High School. Callie began as Outside Hitter, but made the change to Middle Hitter 3 years ago were she has seen most her success.  She will graduate from Pierce this spring, and will be playing Volleyball for Feather River College in the fall. She will be majoring in Criminal Justice. Callie is looking forward to coaching this season and bringing her love of the game to her players!    

Janine Rogers


Janine was born in Hahn AB, Germany and was raised in Dixon, CA.  She played for Davis Volleyball Club from 8th - 12th grade and graduated from Dixon High School -- playing 3 years of Varsity. At DHS, she was All-League 1st Team her Sophomore and Junior years and League MVP her Senior year -- leading her team to CIF playoffs each year. Upon graduating in '00, Janine played volleyball for Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont as an Outside Hitter/Opposite.  She helped lead her team to 3 CalPac Championships and was named to the All-Cal Pac 2nd Team her junior year and All-Cal Pac 1st Team her senior year.

This will be Janine's fourth season coaching with Dynamix.  Previously, she coached with Five Starz Volleyball Club.  She is also IMPACT, First Aid and CPR certified.  

Janine also has 10 years of experience as an NCAA Scorekeeper in the West Coast Conference and Big West.  

Janine graduated from NDNU in '04 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications w/ a minor in Sociology.  She currently resides in West Sacramento and works for a Steel Manufacturing Company. 

Jessica Tam


Jessica was born and raised in San Bruno, CA. She attended Mills High School in Millbrae, CA where she played volleyball, basketball, and track. She was captain of her volleyball team her senior year where she won MVP and Honorable Mention All-League. She also played club volleyball from 7th-12th grade in the Bay Area as a setter. Jessica graduated from University of the Pacific in 2016 with a business degree and also played for the school's club volleyball team as a setter and occasional libero, winning Honorable Mention in the NCCVL. She is now pursuing her law degree at UC Davis School of Law and will be graduating in May 2019. She just finished her first season coaching at Woodland Christian Middle School and is excited to join Dynamix as a coach!  

Ally Taynton


Allyson was born and raised in Vacaville, Ca where she attended Vacaville High School. Allyson was a two-sport varsity athlete in volleyball and soccer. She earned 2008’s Most Valuable Player as a libero (volleyball), 2008’s Most Valuable Forward (soccer), and 2005’s Most Assists (volleyball). She continued playing volleyball at Solano Community College as a DS/Libero, where she earned a place on the 2010 All League Team in the Bay Valley Conference. After earning her Associate’s degree, she transferred to California State University, Sacramento where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accountancy and General Management.

Allyson began her coaching career through Vacaville Youth Sports coaching kids between the ages of 5-17. She has assisted with Solano Community College youth volleyball camps (2009 to 2014) and she just completed her first year as the 2017 Vacaville High School’s JV Volleyball Head Coach with an undefeated league season. This will be Allyson’s second year coaching club volleyball. She is also First-Aid and CPR certified. 

Kim Travis


Kim was raised in Woodland, CA.  While attending Woodland High School, she was a three year starter as a middle blocker.  She was selected for the All- League team all three years as well as the All-Metro Second Team her Senior Year.  Kim was selected as Youth Athlete of the Year in 1993 and was selected to play on the Optimist All-Star team.  Kim received a full athletic scholarship to Chaminade University in Honolulu, Hawaii.  Where she studied Early Childhood Education.

Kim has coached at many levels; Junior High, Junior Varsity & Varsity (Douglass Middle School & Esparto High School).  Most recent at Pierce High School she coached the Junior Varsity level for 3 years before being promoted to the Varsity coach where she continues to coach for the past 7 years.  Kim has also been coaching with Dynamix Volleyball Club for the past 10 years. 

Kim has her CIF coaching certification, she is IMPACT certified along with First Aid and CPR certified.

Megan Ussery


Megan is originally from Salinas, CA where she attended Notre Dame High School.  She was a 4 sport varsity athlete participating in volleyball, basketball, soccer and softball.  She continued playing volleyball at Hartnell Community College in Salinas where she was an outside hitter.  After graduation from Hartnell, she transferred to California State University, Sacramento to continue her studies in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Teaching Physical Education.

Megan started her teaching career in 2000 at Lee Middle School and then transferred to Pioneer High school in 2006, where she continues to teach.  In 2017, Megan returned to coaching at the school level for Douglass Middle School.  From 2001-2009, she had coached at both the Junior High (Lee 8th & 9th) and High School (Woodland & Pioneer) levels (Freshmen & Junior Varsity).  Megan has coached with Dynamix Volleyball Club for 12 years and 2 additional years when it was known as Club Woodland.   Megan has her CIF coaching certification, IMPACT and Safesport certified along with First Aid and CPR certified and also trained in concussion awareness.
