Mackenzie was born in Woodland and grew up in Rocklin, Ca. Mackenzie graduated from Chico State with a Bachelor of Arts in English Education and Minor in Creative Writing. By day Mackenzie works in Fleet Management and then spends her evenings coaching at Woodland High School. She currently is the head coach of Junior Varsity and assists with Varsity. She has loved the sport of volleyball from a young age starting club at the age of 11 and playing through senior year of high school. As a player she started as a Middle Hitter/Blocker but transitioned to Outside Hitter in high school. She loves that volleyball is a team sport and that anyone can play! Some of her best memories are traveling all over to play volleyball all day! She has 3 years coaching experience and is excited for her second year coaching with Dynamix!
Rylee Brown was born in raised here in Woodland, Ca. She started her volleyball career in middle school when she tried out for our club Dynamix, and played up until her senior year. She attended Pioneer High School and played volleyball for all 4 years there as well. After high school, Rylee attended College of Marin for 2 years where she played for the college’s indoor and beach volleyball team for 2 years as an outside hitter. She is now back in Woodland and attending school at American River College working to get her associates degree in business. This will be Rylee’s second year coaching for Dynamix and she is beyond excited to share her passion and knowledge of volleyball with her team!
Annie was born and raised in Woodland, CA. She attended Woodland Christian school where she started playing volleyball in 7th grade. She continued to play volleyball in high school as a setter and a libero. After graduating high school she attended Woodland Community and earned her Associates in Early Childhood Education, then went on to transfer to Sacramento State. There she earned her degree in Child Development and is now a teacher. While going to school she began coaching at Woodland Christian School and coached there for 9 years. This year she coached the Pioneer High School Varsity Volleyball team. This will be Annie's second year coaching with Dynamix.
Gema was born in Chico, CA and raised here in Woodland. She attended Pioneer High School where she played volleyball for four years and earned awards for Best Defensive Player and MVP. She played six years of club volleyball and has had a love for the game from the start.
Gema earned her bachelors degree from Chico State where she majored in Journalism & Public Relations. She currently resides in Woodland with her husband and son. This will be her 4th season coaching at Dynamix.
Jordon joins our coaching staff with over 11 years of coaching experience.
He played Club Volleyball at University of Alaska Fairbanks, and was the starting Libero for Team Alaska USA during the Arctic Winter Games in 2012.
As the head coach of the Davis High School men’s Varsity team, he led the program to three consecutive playoff appearances. Jordon has a breath of experience developing athletes and teams, and uses Gold Medal Square methods in all of his practices.
When he’s not coaching or playing volleyball, Jordon enjoys a large bucket of popcorn at a movie theater!
Yasmin Garcia was born in woodland, CA and raised in Dunnigan, CA. She attended Pierce High school where she played 4 years of volleyball, two years of soccer, two years of basketball and 3 years of softball. She was athlete of the year her senior year for Colusa county and went on to play a year at Columbia college in Sonora, CA as a right side. She coached two years of JV volleyball at piece high school and is going into her 7th year of coaching for Dynamix volleyball club.
Michelle Higuera was born and raised in Davis, CA. She attended Davis Senior High School where she played as a libero and defensive specialist. She went on to play at Sacramento City College for two years. She started her coaching career in High School, assisting for Woodland Polytechnic. After high school she began coaching for Dynamix until she left for Humboldt State University, where she was an assistant coach for the university's girls volleyball team. Michelle later returned to Yolo county and continued coaching for Dynamix. Michelle has coached for Dynamix off and on since 2013.
Alexa Hogan was born and raised in Inglewood, CA. She started her volleyball career in middle school and continued playing throughout her high school years. Alexa attended Palisades Charter High School where she played varsity for three years, helping the Dolphins achieve a remarkable 77-20 overall record and 24-0 league play record over her sophomore and junior seasons. Her high school career highlights include winning two Western League titles and winning the CIF Los Angeles City Section finals twice. During her time at Palisades Charter, Alexa earned several accolades, including two-time All-Western League honors and first-team recognition in her junior year. She was also named to the All-CIF City Section Open Division second team as a junior, finishing the season with an impressive 123 kills. Alexa's club volleyball experience is extensive, having played for West Coast VBC, SCVC, and Actyve VBC. She later went on to play at the collegiate level at UC Davis, where she is currently in her last year, pursuing a degree in History and a minor in Communications.
Megan was born and raised in Woodland, California. She graduated from Woodland High School, where she played four years of varsity volleyball as an Outside and Right Side hitter. Her passion for volleyball began during YCMA years, and at age 11 she started playing for various power teams in the Sacramento area.
During high school, Megan earned several accolades, including a TCC Championship, two-time GEL All-League honors, and was named WHS Freshman of the Year, Offensive MVP, Overall MVP, and Team Captain.
Megan discovered her passion for coaching during her senior year, assisting at Five Starz Volleyball Club, and has since assisted at Woodland High School for three seasons, most recently serving as the Freshman Head Coach.
Megan graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in Sports Business, where she played collegiate club volleyball.
Now back in Woodland, Megan is excited to begin her first season coaching with Dynamix and looks forward to sharing her passion and love for volleyball with her team.
Annika was born and raised in Woodland, CA. She attended Pioneer High School where she played all 4 years of volleyball. After High School she continued playing volleyball at College of the Siskiyou's where she played Middle and Libero. She started her coaching career with Dynamix Volleyball Club in 2017 and has been coaching club since. Annika also coaches at Woodland High School as the Varsity Head Coach for the previous 3 years. While she also served as the Pioneer High School Boys Volleyball Coach for the Spring of 2022. Annika is very excited for the upcoming season and looking forward to making memories with her upcoming team.
Eryka was born and raised in Woodland, California. She graduated from Pioneer high school, where she played volleyball all four years as a Libero, Defensive Specialist and occasionally outside. Eryka also played club volleyball for four seasons with Dynamix. Her passion for the sport started at a young age, watching her older sister play and traveling to tournaments. When Eryka was 10 years old she played her first season of volleyball through the YMCA league and she has loved the sport ever since.
Eryka received her bachelors degree from San Diego State University, where she majored in Criminal Justice with a minor in Political Science. She currently works at a civil litigation law firm as a legal assistant and is pursuing her paralegal certificate through UC Davis. This is Eryka’s second year assistant coaching and she is incredibly excited to come back to her old club and coach the sport she loves!
Lauren was born and raised in Vacaville, CA where she attended Vacaville High School. After high school she has received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Kinesiology from Sonoma State (2013) and her Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration from University of Phoenix (2019). Recently married as of November 2021, Lauren still lives in Vacaville with her husband and their rescue pup Remi.
Laurens passion for volleyball started at a young age when she played in her city’s youth volleyball league. From there she continued to play for her local high school and played for Club Solano out of Fairfield, particularly on the left side both front row and back row. When her playing career ended after graduating high school, Lauren took up coaching very quickly; she has coached for Club Solano (Fairfield, CA), Bulldog Volleyball Club (Vacaville, CA) and is going on her 7th year at Dynamix. Lauren is very excited for the season ahead and looks forward to sharing her passion with her team.
Allison Malcolm was born and raised in Woodland California, and has recently graduated from UC Davis with a Bachelors in Managerial Economics. She began playing club for Woodland Christian in the 7th grade for 2 years, then switched to play club for Dynamix for 3 years. She played Volleyball at Woodland High School all 4 years, starting as an outside hitter and transitioned to a setter and libero. She has a TCC championship on her belt, and even got invited to play for state. She now coaches Men’s Varsity Volleyball at Woodland High and has been for the last 6 years. Allison is also the new incoming Lee Middle School Volleyball Coach, and this is her first year coaching Club! She is super excited to teach others the love of volleyball and to help female athletes grow.
Natalie was born and raised in Woodland, California. She attended Woodland High School where she played all four years as a Libero & Defensive Specialist. Natalie also played club volleyball for four seasons, two of those with Dynamix. After high school, Natalie attended and graduated from San Diego State University, where she majored in International Security and Conflict Resolution with a minor in Personality and Social Psychology. She currently works for a law enforcement intelligence agency in Sacramento. After graduating from college, Natalie began her coaching career at Lee Middle School coaching 7th and 8th grade. This will be Natalie's third season coaching with Dynamix.
Dori was born and raised in Woodland, CA where she played volleyball during her high school career at Pioneer High School. Dori specialized in the front row and was extremely valuable being able to play all positions. Dori played club through Dynamix Volleyball Club and has been coaching in the program for the past 11 years.
Dori is continuing her college education through Woodland Community College and plans to transfer to pursue early child education at the university level.
Ariana was born and raised in Woodland, Ca. She attended Woodland High School where she played all four years as a Libero and Defensive Specialist, winning a TCC League Championship, All League Award, and Defensive Player of the Year.
After graduating High School, she attended the University of Nevada, Reno and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Public Health and a Minor in Psychology.
She began her coaching career at Woodland High School in 2023, most recently serving as the Head Junior Varsity Coach in the 2024 season. She has a love for the game of volleyball and a passion for coaching and is very excited for her first season as a coach with Dynamix Volleyball Club.
Lacie Quiambao was born and raised in Vacaville, California. Her love for volleyball started in the early years of middle school. Starting off with only “Summer Ball” and eventually making the club team. Lacie has been playing volleyball for a total of 6 years, with the past two seasons being with Dynamix Volleyball Club. Most of her seasons she played as a libero and defense specialist. Lacie is currently attending her senior year at Vacaville High School where she has been the vice president for Asian American Pacific Islander Club for the last three years. She has plans to attend college and major in Architectural Engineering. She enjoys babysitting and loves helping out with her mom’s baking business . Lacie has had coaching experience with younger groups, and had recently coached for Dynamix’s Summer Camp. This will be her first year of coaching a full season with Dynamix Volleyball Club.
Janine was born in Hahn AB, Germany and was raised in Dixon, CA. She played for Davis Volleyball Club from 8th - 12th grade and graduated from Dixon High School -- playing 3 years of Varsity. At DHS, she was All-League 1st Team her Sophomore and Junior years and League MVP her Senior year -- leading her team to CIF playoffs each year. Upon graduating in '00, Janine played volleyball for Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont as an Outside Hitter/Opposite. She helped lead her team to 3 CalPac Championships and was named to the All-Cal Pac 2nd Team her junior year and All-Cal Pac 1st Team her senior year.
Janine is on her 6th season with Dynamix, after taking some time off. She has 13 years of experience as an NCAA Scorekeeper in the West Coast Conference and Big West. She is still active on the courts; she plays in 3 different leagues, weekly!
Janine graduated from NDNU in '04 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications w/ a minor in Sociology. She resides in West Sacramento and the highlight of her entire life is her son, Drayton. She is a permanent cosmetic artist, who owns her business in Midtown Sacramento!
Megan is originally from Salinas, CA where she attended Notre Dame High School. She was a 4 sport varsity athlete participating in volleyball, basketball, soccer and softball. She continued playing volleyball at Hartnell Community College in Salinas where she was an outside hitter. After graduation from Hartnell, she transferred to California State University, Sacramento to continue her studies in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Teaching Physical Education. Megan started her teaching career in 2000 at Lee Middle School and then transferred to Pioneer High school in 2006, where she continues to teach. From 2017-2021, Megan returned to coaching at the school level for Douglass Middle School. From 2001-2009, she had coached at both the Junior High (Lee 8th & 9th) and High School (Woodland & Pioneer) levels (Freshmen & Junior Varsity). Megan has been the director of Dynamix Volleyball Club since 2013. She has also coached with Dynamix the club for 16 years and 2 additional years when it was known as Club Woodland. In 2021, Megan became the Athletic Director at Pioneer High School. Becoming the Athletic Director has been a lifelong goal that Megan has had since she was an athlete at her own high school. Supporting/guiding coaches and cheering on athletes is what Megan loves being apart of. Megan has her CIF coaching certification, IMPACT and Safesport certified along with First Aid and CPR certified and also trained in concussion awareness.
Amber was born and raised in Oroville, CA. After high school, Amber attended Sonoma State University and received her Bachelors in Women’s & Gender Studies. She currently works at a nonprofit organization as a victim advocate who provides services for community members in Sacramento County. Amber has always been exposed to volleyball her whole life, but she didn’t start playing until 6th grade. From there she continued to play in high school and was able to make Junior Varsity freshmen year and continued to thrive in her volleyball career. As a player she played libero and DS. Amber loves the game and still continues to play for fun with her family. Amber is excited for this upcoming season and can’t wait to see her team have some fun. This year will be Amber’s 4th season coaching with Dynamix.
Zoë has been playing volleyball since she was 8 years old. Her club volleyball career started at Dynamix Volleyball Club. She played for various power teams in the Sacramento area, and competed at the Junior Olympics. She played 4 years of Varsity volleyball, winning League Championships as Team Captain and MVP two years in a row. Zoë was also nominated for the Sacramento Area Optimist All-Star team. After graduating High School, she attended University of Nevada, Reno majoring in Finance and Economics, where she played collegiate club volleyball and won the NorCal D1 Club Championship. Currently, Zoë works for a Private Jet Center in Sacramento. She is very excited to coach along side her sister back at the club where it all started.
